Annapurna Base Camp Trek offers you an amazing journey through the picturesque hillside to the natural amphitheater at 4130 meters altitude. Annapurna base camp trekking in Nepal allows you to experience some of Nepal's best scenery because it covers the dramatic landscape of the Annapurna region of Nepal, varying from the lower altitude terraced green hillsides to the soaring Annapurna peaks. The two weeks trek to Annapurna base camp embarks from Nayapaul, where most of the trek to Annapurna begins. Having various route alternatives, you get access to the base of the world's 10th tallest peak- Mt. Annapurna (8091 meters). The most recommended route is via Poon hill. The up-and-down trail through the rhododendron forest is a remarkable journey to Ghorepani. It is a side trip that takes about an hour uphill walk through the stone staircase to the spectacular viewpoint of Poon Hill (3210 meters). The dazzling sunrise view over the stunning peaks- Mt. Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Fishtail, and others are seen dramatized. Passing through the ethnic Gurung villages, the dense oak, and the rhododendron forest, it descends to Chhomrong.
