Is INR acceptable in Nepal

Yes, Indian Rupees (INR) are widely accepted in Nepal. However, it is important to note that Nepal's central bank has banned rs500, and Rs2,000  notes. And only Rs100 notes, are accepted in Nepal, They can carry a maximum limit of INR 25,000 per person.

It is recommended to exchange Indian currency for Nepalese Rupees (NPR) at authorized currency exchange centers or banks in Nepal. So it is always a good idea to carry some local currency for smaller transactions.
